Free Financial Literacy Course Wednesdays, 6-8 PM, Oct 1 thru Nov 19th

This page references equipment donations (hardware and software, furniture, etc.). For monetary donations, please write a check payable to Tri-CAP, write “for Cyber Café in the memo field, and send it to:

Loretta Kemp, Deputy Director, Tri-CAP, 110 Pleasant Street, Malden, MA 02148

For further information, e-mail lkemp @ tri-cap.org (omit the spaces) or call her at 781-322-4125.

Individuals: The Cyber Café is NOT seeking donated computer items from individuals at this time. When we do accept items, it is done on a case-by-case basis. You can view our current technology page for that information.

Please call the Cyber Café donation line (toll free: 866-833-2823) to confirm our needs before you try to drop off any donations. This phone is not monitored; please leave a message and we’ll call you back.

We cannot accept donations that are just dropped off without prior discussion. We have no storage space. And, it costs us just as much money to get rid of equipment as you would have to pay. We cannot afford to get rid of your old or obsolete equipment and we do not have the disposal facilities to do so.

Businesses: The Cyber Café does accept donated equipment if it meets our current needs. We may also introduce the business to another organization that can take the equipment directly. We cannot receive equipment for other organizations as we have no storage space. We are happy to act as an intermediary to introduce the two organizations, but cannot accept responsibility for pickup, acceptance, setup, or repair of any such donated equipment: the relationship will be strictly between the donating business and the accepting organization.

Please call the Cyber Café donation line (toll free: 866-833-2823) to confirm our needs before you try to drop off any donations. This phone is not monitored; please leave a message and we’ll call you back.

“Wish List” Equipment

Other equipment we’d like to add:

  • Multifunction color inkjet or laser printer to provide fax, scan, print, and photocopy services.
  • Flatbed color scanner that works with Windows XP and/or VISTA.
  • Updated PCs (bulk of 10 or more with similar configuration) -- better than current systems. We’d like 512 MG RAM or better.
  • Flatscreen monitors: 17” or larger is preferred but some 15” may be accepted.
