Tri-CAP Supports US Census 2010
Tri-CAP and the Cyber Cafe are supporting the United States Census 2010 program in several ways. Both organizations are posting census-related information, including the many jobs that are created for this massive project. Staff have been participating in planning meetings, will assist in publicizing and promoting an accurate census count, and are ready to assist the public during the census count to answer questions that arise.

Site Manager for Cyber Café
Tri-City Community Action Program (Tri-CAP) is a multi-service, anti-poverty agency serving Malden, Medford, Everett, and surrounding communities. Founded in 1978, Tri-CAP is organized to prevent the development and continuation of conditions which cause poverty or occur as a result of people living in poverty. Tri-CAP works through three agency divisions - Energy, Children and Family Services, and Advocacy and Community Services - to help low-income people meet their essential needs and take action to improve their lives.
Tri-CAP is seeking a Site Manager for the Cyber Café @ Malden Square. The Site Manager is a professional who supports the philosophy of the Agency and the mission of the Cyber Café, is committed to serving low-income individuals and families, and has sensitivity to them and the issues they face. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Cyber Café and will assist in enhancing opportunities for patrons to increase their employability, will be responsible for ensuring sufficient staff/volunteer coverage, etc. The Site Manager will report to the Asset Formation Coordinator or his/her designee.
Qualifications: Two or more years of supervisory/management experience, with experience in generating reports. Desirable candidates will have a strong understanding of and ability to supervise staff and volunteers; ability to keep thorough, detailed records while maintaining confidentiality and privacy; have good verbal communication skills; and present self in professional manner. Bilingual and/or bicultural capacity or background preferred.
Salary: Mid-to-high twenties. This position is grant funded.
